Our collaboration in "Yane Sandanski" :)

During this academic year our volunteers from "International Initiatives for Cooperation" (IIC), have been going to the "Yane Sandanski" school in Razlog, to carry out non-formal education activities with the students of different courses.

The activities were organized through different topics each week. Among them are: the weeks of science, recycling, international communication, healthy lifestyles, music and dance, art, among others. We developed them through the development of games and educational activities, with the aim of increasing the skills and capacities of children, such as communication, teamwork, tolerance, respect, critical thinking and creativity.

During the first weeks we made games and activities where both the volunteers and the children introduced ourselves, to break the ice and get to know each other.

We not only made games, but also crafts for different events such as Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's, etc.

We adapted the activities to the weather, when it allowed us to use the playground, which allowed us to do more dynamic and sports activities. In cold or rain we use school facilities, such as the gym and classrooms, doing more manual activities.

The classes were approximately 20 kids, and the participation on their part used to be very good.
