Today, on the 3rd of May, IIC team was in the center of Razlog to offer a human library to the local community. The aim: sharing stories about mobility, opportunities and volunteering.
Razlog city center was the theatre of an uncommon activity for the municipality. Indeed this day, we were book. Three stories has been told; two in "central park" and one in the museum. In the park we spoke about volunteering as a life choice after high school. Then we have speak about mobility in Rwanda. In the museum, our dear colleague Ilaha has gone through a metaphore between mountain and life. Human library is for us a way to interact with local community and let their imagination wander through stories but also we want to make people be aware of their possibilities. Mobility in Europe is something that almost everyone can achieve, the problem is that a lot of young people are not aware of this.
We spent a nice afternoon outside of the office, the rain was threatening us but didn't fall. We shared some laugh and stories; some questions and answer; some Bulgarian and some English...
After the human library in Sofia for "Imagine Europe" project and the one in Razlog for "European Youth Week", all the team was used to their stories and the upcoming will be better and better. We are now looking forward and waiting for another municipality to welcome IIC human books. :)
