After playing tomato game and new running games, kids from Razlog community expressed their creativity during the International Initiatives for Cooperation (IIC) team’s origami workshop organized on Thursday, August 2nd 2018.
Kids learnt how to make butterflies, boats, planes, birds using paper with our volunteers!
To prepare this activity, the IIC volunteers learnt how to create origami using Youtube tutorials. If you want to have a try, here are the video links use :

To start creating your origami, you must cut several papers in square. Be patient and perseverant, it is normal to have many tries before being successful. However, when you manage you feel so great that you can’t help trying and making new ones.
Razlog kids hung their creations up on colorful branches made by the IIC volunteers to create their origami suspension and took it home.
How did we make colorful branches?
First, in spite of Razlog rainy weather that day, we walked around the city to find some branches for the activity. Then, we used paintings and brushes to color the branches and enjoyed feeling free to create! We let the branches dry for a couple of days, which made us ready for the origami workshop.

With this workshop, kids improve their manual skills and stimulate their creativity. How cool is that! You just need to have many papers in square ready and let the kids play with their imagination.
It was wonderful to see them so concentrated while creating their origami and so happy to go back home with their creations in hand or on strollers.
