Be a pirate, Find the treasure !

On 30 August 2018 Razlog center lake turned into a real amusement park! There were pirates, treasures to be found, challenges to be faced…but let’s procede with order!

To celebrate the end of summer activities and to give children another awesome summertime memory before the school starts again, volunteers of the International Initiatives for Cooperation (IIC) organized a Treasure Hunt in Razlog’s main park. The hunt consisted in 13 check points all around the place, where kids had to pass a proof in order to proceed towards the next one. All of these with the only help of a map!

IIC volunteers had to prove their creativity in order to set up an entertaining game! And they did it by using basically only paper, pencils, tape and air ballons!

One of the funniest and most appreciated proof consisted in fishing air balloons flowing in the water! How was it done? After blowing the balloons, a ring made out of tape was hung around them in order to make them “fishable” and wood sticks with plastic hooks were used as fishing rods.

Four balloons contained a clue and the hunters had to pop a lot of empty balloons before finding the right ones! Nevertheless the kids, that were divided in 4 teams, were so good in decrypting secret messages and succeeding in the different challenges, that they completed the game way sooner than expected!

They also showed the committment and the enthusiasm of real pirates while running around looking for their treasure! A treasure that luckily didn't let them down...a piñata of sweets and candies was indeed enjoyed by everyone of them! What’s a piñata? A piñata is a container made of papier-mâché, pottery or cloth. Candies, sweets and even toys and be put inside and when pinata is broken they will just fall down!
